Development of Competence Management

 The future of an organisation requires different skills from people. What an employee knows at the beginning of the employment is usually not enough; instead, new issues arise continuously during the employment. Frequently new skills areas complement the existing competence, but employees also have to adopt completely new skills. At the corporate level, strategic skills management may be crucial to the company's performance in a competition situation, or determine how the growth targets are achieved.

We create development projects for competence management for our customer companies. The contents of the project can be tailored for each customer. The extent of the projects varies according to the size and needs of the customer company. However, usually the projects include an analysis of the current status of competence management, definition of the targets of the new system, development of the contents of the new system, training, and specification, acquisition and introduction of the necessary tools. Long-term performance monitoring and, as and when necessary, additional development measures are also typical of development projects.

With regard to tools supporting competence, we co-operate with Efecon Oy, the creator of the OSKART software. OSKART is a PC programme for assessing and steering of competence and training design. It is also used as a support for quality systems and human resources management
